Terrific Indian food! There are lots of Indian restaurants in Queenstown, but two people from India who were traveling with our group said that this was the best one. They were right -- the food was perfectly spiced, piping hot from the oven, and delicious
Was in Queenstown for 3 days with my wife. We were craving for some good Indian food as we didn't get too many options at our previous destination which was Sydney. Bombay Palace is as authentic as Indian food can be away from home. Says a lot about the place coming from a fellow Indian. We ate our dinner at the restaurant on all the 3 days. A special shout out to Karan from the restaurant. You are a rockstar. You make the place what it is. Totally recommend it!
We visited for dinner, the place is small and busy. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The Ladies finger ( bhindi) was outstanding, Chicken curry was yummy, so was fish fry and chicken tikka, the dal sambhar was another dish worth mentioning. If you are in Queenstown and looking at Indian food , this place is a must on your list.
Just a simple, friendly place serving excellent Indian food. Onion bjajis were great, but the lamb with spinach & chicken in a creamy cashew nut sauce were even better. The spicing was spot on, medium was just that, spicy enough for great flavour but not hot enough to make your mouth go numb. Excellent service, young friendly staff and great value.
Had dinner at this restaurant just after arriving in Queenstown. Staff were quick to take order and helpful in choosing from the menu. My husband had Butter chicken and I had a vegetarian curry......delightful! We also had naan bread, a cocktail and mango lassi, all good and very authentic. The spice levels, I would say are on the hot side, I ordered medium, and I am quite used to hot food, but boy oh boy, I almost turned purple!! Even so, I couldn't stop eating, so delicious. I can recommend, just watch out for the level of heat, and by the way, really appreciated the large vegetarian menu.
NEW This is easily the best indian restaurant in quenstown. They have only 1 branch and you see 2 young men take care of you through the meal. The ambience is good and food is yummy. Aloo Gobhi is to die for...A lot of local kiwis love this place.
